PWCC is proud to have five thriving committees. Joining a PWCC committee is a great way to connect with others, learn new skills, and pursue what you're passionate about.

Our committees are all about collaboration, where members work together closely to build strong relationships and achieve our shared organizational goals.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Our Community Outreach Committee plays a pivotal role in PWCC’s mission by identifying local organizations for meaningful partnerships. These collaborations aim to amplify awareness for important causes across Chicago while providing our members with opportunities to actively engage and contribute to the community. Join us in making a difference and fostering impactful connections throughout our city!

Committee Member Qualifications:

  • Interest in collaborating, partnering, and negotiating with outside organizations

  • Interest in event planning, is detail oriented, responsible, and organized

  • Socially outgoing, friendly, creative, and a good communicator

  • Willing and able to participate in meetings and events

SPONSORSHIPS

The Sponsorship Committee focuses on cultivating strategic financial partnerships with Chicago businesses that align with our organization’s mission and values. Through regular communication and tailored recognition, we ensure sponsors receive visibility, acknowledgment, and value to their company’s employees by being involved with PWCC.

Committee Member Qualifications:

  • A desire to build long-term relationships with Club sponsors

  • Goal-oriented and enthusiastic about PWCC

  • Sales or marketing background is helpful

  • Understanding of the sponsorship levels and how each work

  • Enthusiastic in developing new relationships outside of PWCC

PROGRAMS

Our Programs Committee takes the lead in curating engaging speaker-led experiences for our members. We secure influential C-level women as keynote speakers for our monthly luncheons, highlighting their insights and leadership in Chicago. Additionally, the committee identifies and supports members eager to host fireside chats, informal yet informative events where they share expertise and foster learning within our community.

Committee Member Qualifications:

  • Interest in brainstorming potential speakers

  • Interest in using existing relationships (professional and personal) to network to potential speakers

  • Ability to act as hostess for several speakers prior to, and during the luncheon (obtain biographical and program information); coordinate any special technology needs for the speaker

COMMUNICATIONS

The Communications Committee is dedicated to enhancing PWCC's outreach and engagement through effective and strategic communication. We focus on crafting compelling content, managing internal and external messaging, and leveraging various platforms to promote our initiatives and events. Our goal is to build a strong and cohesive brand presence that resonates with our members and the broader community.

Committee Member Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to generate fresh ideas for content and campaigns

  • Proficient in managing multiple projects and deadlines

  • Interest or experience in developing communication strategies and measuring their impact

MEMBERSHIP ENGAGEMENT

The Member Engagement Committee is dedicated to enhancing member satisfaction and involvement. We foster a welcoming community through proactive outreach to guests and existing members, and always seek to improve PWCC’s offerings through member feedback.

Our committee seeks to make PWCC feel more like home by greeting guests at events, hosting informative sessions, and leading key programming like our mentorship program and Special Interest Groups.

Committee Member Qualifications:

  • Enjoys making personal outreach to guests, prospective members, and existing members

  • Knows PWCC benefits and can communicate them to members and prospective members

  • Is able to analyze survey results, identify trends, and make recommendations

  • Contributes a point of view in making committee decisions
