Join PWCC for our last luncheon of the membership year as we welcome Sophie Evanoff, President of VanillePastisserie.

As president of Vanille Patisserie, Sophie Evanoff is responsible for business planning, new product development, sales and marketing. Since acquiring Vanille in 2011, she has expanded the pastry kitchen, increased staff and doubled Vanille Patisserie from two to four Chicago locations: Lincoln Park, Chicago French Market, Lakeview and recently opened in Hyde Park at Harper Court.

A recognized innovator, Sophie has proven she can make change happen. She is an active speaker, recently participating as a panelist at a Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce “Sharing Success: Women in Business” networking breakfast, Wintrust “Women’s History Month” and most recently at the “League of Superwomen” networking and panel series event. With a focus on growth, quality and customer satisfaction,  Sophie was awarded the 2016 Chicagoland Chamber of Business James Tyree Emerging Business Leadership Award earning the distinction as their first female awardee. She is also an Alumna of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business, which has helped her expand her business and brand across multiple Chicago locations.

In 2015, Vanille was awarded, #1 Retailer of Lincoln Park, Chicago. Vanille has also been recognized as one of the best bakeries in America by Time Out Magazine offering artisanal desserts and pastries, including delicious mousse cakes, luscious tarts, handmade chocolates and candies, freshly baked croissants, custom celebration cakes and the popular French Macarons, which are available for nationwide shipping. Vanille also offers breakfast and lunch catering to downtown Chicago businesses.

Sophie holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan and is a graduate of Chicago’s internationally renowned French Pastry School. Sophie has an awe-inspiring passion for supporting all ethnic communities. She  is also actively involved with several non-profit organizations and has served as a board member and volunteered services to raise funds for needy children and is currently working with Special Olympics Chicago to create jobs for all abilities and donate proceeds from key sales including National Macaron Day.

At this luncheon we also welcome the incoming 2018-2019 Board of Directors, thank thank the outgoing 2017-2018 Board and honor members who are celebrating their 3- 5- 10 and 15-year anniversaries with PWCC!
