New Year. New You?

New Year. New You?

There’s nothing like the end of a year and the beginning of the next to make you contemplate the meaning of life.

In years past, I’ve given some serious thought to new year resolutions. I’ve resolved to get fitter, eat better and finally find a place of true self-acceptance.  I’ve had some success but a year of strict adherence is quite honestly, daunting, and in my experience, unrealistic.

So I’ve replaced my new year resolutions with daily contemplations.  I ask myself, how can I enjoy today? How can I achieve my goals today? I also make an effort to look beyond myself so I don’t lose sight of the good people and good things in my life.

So as you look to the new year, make those 2011 resolutions, if you like, but don’t lose sight of your daily achievements, blessings and opportunities around you.

Life is full of simple joys – what’s yours?

"PWCC is the most engaging business networking group I've been involved with in my career. Not only are there so many interesting women to meet and interact with at each event, I've also had an opportunity to get more involved in the organization by joining a committee. It's a wonderful way to meet professionals outside my particular industry who are tremendous resources. The friendships and connections I've made through PWCC have been invaluable."
