The Media Relations Committee

The Media Relations Committee works closely with other PWCC committees to develop and implement a media relations strategy that builds awareness of the organization and promotes attendance at events.

We are proud of PWCC’s programs, and we believe it is important to broadly communicate our organization’s work throughout the Chicago metropolitan region.

Our committee members are expected to make personal contacts with reporters and, with the assistance of additional members, invite them to specific events. We may also work with a speaker’s public relations department when there is an opportunity to leverage that speaker’s appearance to reach a new audience for our organization. Many, but not all, of our committee members have professional communications experience.
